1. Check Device Power #
- Make sure your GNSS device is turned on and charged.
- If it doesn’t power on, try charging it.
- Restart the device to clear temporary glitches.
- Reset the device if possible.
2. Check Connection to Your Phone or Tablet #
- Ensure Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is enabled on your Android/iOS device.
- Open the GNSS Companion app or Geolantis360 and confirm the device is connected.
- If not, try re-pairing or restarting both devices.
3. Satellite Signal & Reception #
- Move to an open area with a clear view of the sky.
- Avoid obstructions like buildings, trees, or vehicles.
- Wait a few minutes for the device to acquire satellite lock.
- Check the number of satellites connected (usually 4+ needed for good accuracy).
4. Check Internet Connection #
- RTK corrections require a stable internet connection.
- Make sure your phone or tablet has mobile data or Wi-Fi access (restart modems).
- Try loading a website to confirm internet is working.
- Restart the device
- Try an alternative internet connection (different Wi-Fi, Hot-Spot, other SIM-Card)
- Deactivate VPN
5. Check NTRIP Settings #
- Open your GNSS app and go to the RTK or correction settings.
- Make sure your NTRIP credentials (username, password, mountpoint) are correct.
- Try to load mountpoints. This can confirm if the NTRIP service is active and reachable.
- If unsure, contact your NTRIP provider for help.
6. Check RTK Status #
- In the app, look for RTK status indicators like:
- RTK / Fixed = best accuracy
- RTK-Float or Single/Autonom/GPS/DGPS = lower accuracy
- If RTK is not working:
- Check internet and NTRIP settings again.
- Restart GNSS Companion App or Geolantis360 (Force stop)
- Make sure you’re in an open area with good satellite visibility.
